Victoria met Todd back in 2002 when she entered Viewpoint School as a freshman. Although the pair became fast friends, they didn’t start officially dating until the end of their junior year. Todd had a crush on Victoria for most of high school, but it wasn’t until June 16, 2005 when he asked Victoria to be his girlfriend for the second time that she finally said “yes!” It was the beginning of a high school romance that would span 10 years.

 

Victoria and Todd have a vague memory of their first date. They ate at the Cheesecake Factory in Woodland Hills and then drove to a local park to share an Oreo cheesecake for dessert. At the time, Victoria had no idea that Todd was full of big romantic gestures and surprises — like when he asked Victoria to junior prom with hundreds of candles that spelled out, “Prom?”

Victoria and Todd soon took their high school romance to college at the University of Southern California. Todd majored in business while Victoria set her sights on broadcast journalism. Together they made new friends, backpacked through Europe, studied abroad, achieved academic goals and created everlasting memories.

 

After graduating college, Todd encouraged Victoria to pursue her career even though it meant they would be apart. Todd stayed in Los Angeles to climb the ranks at Wesco while Victoria landed reporter jobs in Bakersfield and Las Vegas. In total, they would spend five years racking up thousands of miles on their cars and on Southwest Airlines.

After nearly 10 years of dating, Todd planned the biggest surprise of all: He picked Victoria up at the airport a few hours before they were set to go on vacation and drove her and their dog Milo to the beach. After a few minutes of walking, Victoria discovered flowers, umbrellas and champagne set up on the sand. It was there that Todd got down on one knee and asked Victoria to marry him. This time he only had to ask once; Victoria said “yes!”

 

The couple has chosen to get married in Hawaii –- a beautiful and romantic destination they’ve visited many times over the years with family and friends. They can’t wait to celebrate their love on 6/11/16 and they hope that you will join them!
